Kate’s extensive dance training and qualifications include a Certificate from Sallynoggin college, a Teaching Diploma in Modern Theatre Dance from Inchicore College and an ISTD Certificate in Dance Education with Honours. Kate trained to Advanced 2 level with the ISTD, RAD and Contemporary Dance and she is also a certified Acrobatic Arts Teacher, a Module 3 Alixa Flexibility Instructor and a certified teacher with ID Dance Company. Kate began dancing professionally at the age of 17 beginning with Jury's Cabaret and as a lead soloist both in the resident show based in Dublin and on the 1998 American tour. Kate then joined the Irish Folk Ballet Company as a principal dancer, choreographing and composing a number of original pieces for the company. This led to Kate’s creation of the Rock ‘n’ Reels Dance Company, which provided Irish Dance entertainment for private and corporate events. Kate has toured throughout Europe, America, Scandinavia and Russia, appearing on TV shows there and in films including “The Magical Legend of the Leprechauns” starring Whoopi Goldberg and Randy Quaid. In 1999, Kate joined Michael Flatley’s “Feet of Flames” which toured Europe extensively. She later moved to the Las Vegas-based “Lord of the Dance” performing the principal role of “The Spirit”. Kate is the head choreographer for her Elevation Dance Team which has won numerous awards and from which Kate was awarded Outstanding Producer at the 2018 Elite 5,6,7,8 Dance Competition, Dublin.
